The Three British Tenors

Welcome to the Short Biography of the Three British Tenors.

The Three British Tenors was formed in February 1995 after the celebrated concerts given by Carreras, Pavarotti and Domingo for the World Cup in 1990 and 1994. Such was the popularity of this format it was inevitable that a touring version of it would be created and The Three British Tenors was born.
Ever since Caruso made his first recordings, with the world-wide success of ‘Vesti La Giubba’ from ‘I Pagliacci’, the Tenor voice in particular has held a place in the hearts and minds of all who enjoy the vocal arts. Historically, the values of heroism and romance have been expressed through the Tenor voice creating a wonderful repertoire of songs to thrill and seduce the senses.
This repertoire, predominantly expressed through the fire of Mediterranean temperament, is also enriched by the subtler qualities of Northern European culture speaking to the heart through the common language of Music, and when this music is interpreted through the finest vocal talents then you have Three British Tenors in concert.

The Three British Tenors perform throughout Britain and Europe in shows which are similar to those of 'The Big Three' including popular arias from the great operas, Neapolitan Songs, English and French Ballads, Movie songs and contemporary show songs from the effervescent world of Broadway and The West End. Given with an informative, lightly humorous presentation and a splendid musical backing, which can range from keyboards and drums to a thirty piece band, standing ovations are commonplace and almost inevitable.
They are in great demand for Corporate entertainment and have topped the bill in venues such as Grosvenor House, The Dorchester Hotel, Blenheim Palace, Gleneagles Hotel, Claridges, Goodwood House, Prague Castle and the Savoy where they topped the bill in the Millennium celebrations.
